This is not the first time I review a John Granger‘s book. You can read the Unlocking Harry Potter review here. In this case, The Deathly Hallows Lecture is not the continuation to Unlocking Harry Potter, although it clarifies the key plots that were unfinished in the previous books.

The Deathly Hallows Lecture inspects and analyze the seventh and final book. What is the importance of color in the eyes of Lily and what it reveals in the death of Snape? Why Harry digs Dobby’s grave with his own hands, without even using magic?

The answers are not based on the simple information the books give us. John Granger knows how to find the way which our favorite writer inspires and relates excellently with the events, besides a brilliant reading of the symbolism present in the books and their relationship with Alchemy.

The Deathly Hallows Lectures is not a book that shows us the saga from another viewpoint, but it is a book that makes us see better the seventh book. Opens our eyes and gives “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows” a higher level, giving a depth worthy of a great literary work.
