Snape is my all time favorite character because he was able to do anything for love, a love that was never returned, and loved until the end of his days. I’m 20 years old, and I’ve been reading/watching Harry Potter since I was very little. My parents (being super religious) didn’t approve of Harry Potter at first, but I defied them and continued to read the books in secret at school until a few years later when I confessed my love, and they finally accepted it. I read everything related to Harry Potter, seen all the interviews, read the books many, many times (Deathly Hallows 8 times – no joke – in the month before DH2 came out), and I don’t think I can wait until Pottermore is available to everyone. 🙂
I know everyone says it but I grew up on Harry Potter. My mum taught me how to read using Harry Potter. She would read me a chapter and I’d read the next one, with a little help of course. After awhile I’d be reading the books all by myself.
I’ll stick with harry until the very end, in my opinion the books couldn’t ever be bettered and they played an enormous part in my childhood. I think the message they put out is one of the most important for children to learn: Love Conquers All. 🙂

I have been a fan of Harry Potter ever since the Prisoner of Azkaban came out. I remember waiting in line at the book store at midnight to get my copy of The Goblet of Fire. I read the Deathly Hallows in one day, then immediately read it again over the next week. I am now 23 and thinking about rereading all of the books…again. Hello, I’m sure that there are people out there who deserve the accounts more than I but if you don’t try you never know right?! anyway I have been a Harry Potter fan since 1999 when I found the picture of a young boy with wire rim glasses and a lightning bolt scar atop a broom stick. And as most, if not all, Harry Potter fans I found a place I could escape and be me, I didn’t have to fit in or pretend to be anything other than obsessed with Harry Potter with other fans and it helped me to realize that we are all just perfect no matter our flaws. Hi, I’ve been trying and trying to get into Pottermore, and I guess perhaps I’m the unluckiest girl in the world. Pottermore is always releasing clues halfway through my dreams, or when I’m busy researching for my essay.

My happiest memories have revolved round Harry Potter, my dearest, lifelong friend) and I do plenty to keep the magic alive through Tumblr, fanfiction, wrock, and listening to podcasts. However, since the series ended I’ve come to truly appreciate JKR’s original works… they are the most fulfilling in the same way that plants in a food web contain the most energy from sunlight, and as you move on to consumers the energy progressively diminishes. I was brought into the Potterverse ten years ago at age 7. I read the first book and completely fell in love with the magic, the characters, the story, the whole world of Harry Potter. Since then I have read all of the books many, many times; rewatched the movies many, many times. I have collected posters and magazines and special editions of the books and movies. I have made a 250 question “quiz” you can say containing things from all seven books for my Harry Potter buddies to test their intelligence. I waited in line until 2:30 am when i was 12 to get the final book. My mom, who was nearly falling asleep at the time, knew how important it was to me and had let me go. I went to the midnight screenings of the 5-7;P1 screenings…i had finally gotten permission from my parents. And for 7:P1 i had school the next day…but i still got up at 5:30 and went on the bus an hour later. For the final film, i was devastated when i found out i would be in Greece at the time it would be released. So many times i cried…watching trailers, getting my Entertainment Weekly mag with Harry on the cover…and i wouldn’t be here for the final midnight screening. To my complete luck, while i was in Greece, after much asking around at restaurants and hotels and my tour guide, I found a cinema nearby my hotel that had Harry Potter in english. I immediately organized a “mini field trip” where 40 of my school trip group went to go see it. Even now, after i’ve seen it 3 times, the full effect hasn’t sunken in. it is over. i know that. but there are still things to come…but there’s also something missing at the same time inside me. My friends know me. They know i’m dedicated, loyal, and truly in love with Harry Potter and his wonderful world. I don’t know who i’d be without Harry Potter in my life. First and foremost, i probably never would have gotten into writing myself. “The Philosopher’s Stone”, or JK Rowling, who deserves more credit since she wrote the book, inspired me to write stories. Stories in which i could please people with the art of words. Like I said, i would be nothing if not for Harry Potter. I would be clueless about my future if not for Harry Potter. To have an account on Pottermore would not only be exciting and totally awesome, but it would be a pleasure and honor to be a part of JK Rowling’s new project, because i am her follower through and through. I’ve been a Harry Potter fan ever since I started the first book when I was seven. Neville gave me courage. The twins made me realise its not a sin to have a good time. Arthur and Molly made me thankful for what I’ve got an to never look down on anyone who has less than myself. Harry showed me that love is stronger than anything – even magic. Luna taught me that I was different but that it’s ok. Hagrid told me not to judge a book by it’s cover. Dumbledore showed me that even after everything is lost there is still a reason to fight. And Ron taught me that real courage doesn’t come from overwhelming strength or even bravery but from loving your self enough to know that you will never truly leave your friends – he taught me to love selflessly and irrevocably. But most of all J K Rowling showed me that it’s ok to dream and to use what talents I have to do the beat I can for myself. She taught me to be strong and to forever believe in magic.

Hi, I’m Kylie and I would love the pottermore account because I have to be in the hospital a lot to beable to receive my medication for an incurable, painful disease called crohn’s. I was diagnosed 6, almost 7 years ago and haven’t had a break from it (or the costs for all the medication) since. I have to stay at least 3 hours to get my infusion once in the hospital with not much to do. Being able to read would make it so much easier because I like to put myself in what I read and because of this it would take me out of what I’m actually living, for a little while at least. I of course love all the books and have got them from the library several times each!

I went to the midnight release of the deathly hallows book. I have been to the last three harry potter midnight movie releases. I am always asleep when they give out the clues because I live in Texas in the US. It’s must be around 3 or 4:00 in the morning here when they give it out.
I keep trying to stay up to get it, but sadly I cannot because I have parents who have to get lots of sleep at night because they work all day so I can’t stay on my laptop during the night or else it will keep them up because of the positioning of my room to theirs’ and the light from the laptop.
Anyway, I think it’s great what you’re doing and I do not think it’s fair really how they’re doing the Pottermore accounts on the website.
I think you should at least consider me for getting an account because I’m an obsessive Harry Potter fan and I was so excited when JK announced the Pottermore and I follow every Harry Potter Twitter account, including hpotterquotes, which I love by the way.

Harry potter has been to me, like so many others, an escape. It has opened up a new world full of adventure, drama, comedy, relationships and so much more. Just like most people on here, I’m a huge HP fan who grew up with the books. I’m probably not more qualified than any of them, but I think that I could help construct the Pottermore world so that when everyone is able to join in October, it’s a place just as magical as the books and movies have been to all of us, and can fill the void in our lives since the end of the franchise. I would get an account myself, but I work as a nanny 7 days a week and have to be up at 9am, so a 3 or 4am wake up call isn’t a possibility. I’m also on vacation with the family I work for, and there’s no wifi at the lake house, believe it or not. Engaging myself in the books and then in the following movies allowed me to travel to another place, a magical one where this world didn’t exist, and it was wonderful. I began writing fanfiction because of it, and met some really great people in the HP community – it truly changed my life. I think, in some ways, it saved me. Silly, maybe, but true. Anyways, I love Harry Potter. I’ve never really had a chance to experience it fully- like midnight premieres for the books or the movies- cause I’m always at camp or I have school (which is also the reason I can’t try and get one of the pottermore accounts). This year was the first year I’ve been able to go to a midnight premiere, and it was one of the best experiences of my life.
Harry Potter is really important to me. I grew up reading it, I named my dog Harry Potter (I was seven), and I’ve stayed with it to the end. But it’s also important to me for other reasons.
I have a mild(er) form of Asperger’s (which, unfortunately, includes depression), and Harry Potter gave me a way to connect to people unlike anything else. Before Harry Potter, I always had my head in history books- not the best way to make friends in first grade. But with Harry Potter, I had a way to connect to people. I understood the games everyone else were playing. As the books got more serious, I started to understand how teenagers acted- and why- which therapy had been unable to explain to me. I made my best friend at my new school because of Harry. And when, on several occasions, I wanted to kill myself, all I had to do was pick up a Harry Potter book and let myself get carried away. Harry Potter gave me a chance to live a somewhat normal life. This is the reason I want to get a pottermore account- because the magic doesn’t have to end with the last book. To quote the great J.K. Rowling: “Hogwarts will always be there to welcome you home.” And that is truly what Harry Potter is to me- a home, a refuge, and a safeguard.

I started reading Harry Potter when I was nine years old (in 1999). I was already an avid reader, but something about Harry Potter made me fall completely in love with books and words. I was obsessed with Harry for most of my adolescence… I read the books dozens of times apiece and spent half my time on fansites. I cried every time I learned even one tiny new detail about an upcoming book, because it excited me so much.

I am one of the biggest Harry potterfans! I saw the 8th movie at midnight at the premier, and I have read all the books 7 times. Harry potter is half of my life!
The other half I spend win my family, friends, and pets. I have 1 dog, 1 cat (my family has another 2) and 2 horses (my family has another 3). I spend most of the day with my animals! I also play lots of sports! Ringette, riding, volleyball, track and field, and field hockey.

On the second night, I forot to turn the volume of my alarm up, an slept the only hour the contest was up. HP was first published when I was 12, and I have been obsessed ever since then. Everything in my room has to do with HP (I collect anything HP and also store a lot of it in the attic for my future children to have), and I’m always reading HP, wearing something HP, and at work I wear my Gryffindor lanyard. I’m now 23 (nearly 24) and this past New Year’s Eve my (now fiance) boyfriend took me to the Wizarding World of Harry Potter in Orlando and surprised me by proposing to me in front of Hogwarts at midnight while fireworks were going off in the background. I should get a Pottermore account because I have had the misfortune of vacationing in Disney World during the week that the websites give out these exclusive accounts. Having no computer access and being constantly taunted about this new Potter craze through the never-ending tweets from hpotterquotes, mugglenet, and others, and having been an extremely loyal fan and remaining true to the heart of the series for my entire life, I feel I deserve an account. Since the books first came out when I was a wee little thing, I’ve been addicted. Hello I’m ally. I’m 25 y.o, an actress by profession in the Philippines. The Harry Potter series is a constant reminder for me to stay young at heart, to be brave in facing the trials of this world, to be loyal and believe in love and friendship. And when I was younger (when the series started) I was working as an actress and attending school at the same time, let’s just say my social life was limited, and Harry kept me company, kept me smiling despite the workload. Hello, my name is John, I’ve been an avid HP fan since the beginning, I grew up with the characters. I’ve read each book more tomes than I can count but each time I find something I either missed the first time or didn’t connect. They’re more than books and a story to me, Harry, Ron, and Hermione are my friends, they helped me to be who I am today. I live in Ontario, so all of the clues have been posted at 4 and 5 am our time. I would get up and wait for the clue but because of the hours of my job I physically can not get up at that time.. I know that access into this site will take over all of my free time and will put a serious dent into my sleep, which is why being let in now as apposed to october will have the least impact on my outside life (October is midterms = will not study at all…). Ever since I have was a child I have been obsessed with Harry Potter. It was always my most favorite thing to experience. The books, the movies, everything. When it all ended I literally cried my eyes out for an extremely long time because I knew my childhood had officially just ended. When I found out about Pottermore I was like, “Yes! I live in mexico and i’ve tried to stay awake for the clues but its just impossible since the time they are delivered is between 3 am and 7 am and its kind of impossible. Its been in the middle of the night or very early morning every time so far. Hello!!!! I got to work this morning and logged onto Pottermore to look for the clue but no luck. I have such a love for Harry Potter that I can easily sit and read the books over and over again. I’m Lisa and I basically grew up with the Harry Potter series. After the first book, I was attached. I remember the first movie came out when I was 11 so I thought it was perfect because they were 11 in the movie! It’s crazy reading the books and watching the characters grow through the final novel. I’ve seen almost all of the movies at the midnight show and I admit, I was one of the people crying when it was over. I instantly felt like that was the end of my childhood. Just last week I started to reread the books starting from The Sorcerer’s Stone and I’m already a few hundred pages into The Goblet of Fire. Harry Potter will never fail to entertain me.

When i was a child i was deeply into the books they helped me become better then the bullies that tormented me at school and then as the movies got released it was like i could never leave the world. Even though when the latest and greatest and well last movie for a long long time (i mean who wouldn’t remake it?) Just came out and every one was saying it was over i got angery! I mean Harry Potter will never be over, it just can’t be due to the fact that the little green eyed boy from the books has wormed his way in to our hearts. My name is Becca, and I believe I deserve a pottermore account because I love Harry potter. Simple as that sounds, it is much more than a story for me. For me, it’s what got me through childhood. It’s what I turned to when the rest of the world wasn’t there. I always had Hogwarts. Harry, Ron, and Hermione became some of y best friends, and I wouldn’t trade the time I had with them for anything. I’ve seen all 8 movies multiple times and more importantly read allgnd books multiple times! The theme park was amazing… So much so that i cried in line jn front of everyone! Now that it’s over, I am glad I was a part of this Harry Potter movement.. Glad to be connected to others all over the world who love it just as much as I do. Now, I would love to get a little more Harry through pottermore!
